It is that time of year, a time of new beginnings and this year’s Everest back-to-school event had a whole new dynamic. Everest administration reconfigured and combined previous events of meet the faculty, book & supply drop-off, high school orientation, locker assignments, and back-to-school nights.

This year’s back-to-school event offered parents and students the opportunity to complete a sort of scavenger hunt with five stations. They met teachers and dropped off books and supplies, attended a presentation by the principals about the school year, dropped off school year forms, and even stopped by the chapel to make a visit and pray for a good school year with school chaplain Fr. Thomas. The academy gym was set up as a vendor expo with information booths about Everest programs as well as vendors from throughout the community such a Deer Lake Athletic Club, Great Lakes Athletic Club, Clarkston Medical Group, the Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce, Clarkston Independence District Library, and more!

Many thanks to all the faculty and staff and community partners who made this event a success!
