Since Everest was founded, the Feast of the Guardian Angels has been a special celebration for Mountaineers. Founding priest, Fr. Lorenzo Gomez, LC, made this day a celebration of “children’s day” and God’s special protectors. This tradition continues to this day with Everest’s fifth graders preparing a morning of fun activities for the lower elementary students in grades preschool through second grade.
