The third-grade boys recently went on a field trip to Indian Springs Metropark to learn more about animal classifications and to observe changes in the seasons by taking a hike through the woods. The class found evidence of raccoons, birds, and deer. They also walked under a pond and identified bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The students got to look at and feel many different animal pelts and skulls of animals that live in the park-including a coyote! The boys learned many new and interesting things about nature and native plants and animals that live in Michigan.
