The sixth through eighth-grade boys were invited to take an overnight trip to the Legionaries of Christ apostolic school in Indiana. Thirty boys and seven dads along with Mr. Cross and Fr. Timothy went on this trip. Sacred Heart Apostolic School is located in Rolling Prairie, Indian which is three and a half hours from Everest. The mission of Sacred Heart Apostolic School is to provide integral formation (spiritual, human, academic, and apostolic) for junior high and high school boys considering a call to the priesthood in the Legion of Christ. The boys from Sacred Heart came to visit and participate in the John Paul II tournament last May, and the Everest students were invited by Fr. Ronald Conklin, LC to travel to Indiana. The Everest boys participated in Mass, prayer, sports, a visit to the sand dunes on Lake Michigan, and a trip the University of Notre Dame. The boys had a great time, and several of them asked if they can take the trip again next year.
