EC senior Kendall Beauchamp shared about Friday’s eighth through twelfth-grade assembly: “Dr. Pat Castle visited Everest Collegiate last Friday to give a talk on LIFE Runners. This is a pro-life organization that has spread across the world. They are a “team” in all sense of the world. Each member receives a jersey, making them a legit team, but also they are a community that all share the belief that the unborn are alive and God’s creation, for “life begins at conception” stated by Dr. Castle. The student body of Everest Collegiate got to take part in a worldwide movement, which is just the beginning.”

The assembly took place on the same day that the EC cross country team was headed to their MHSAA regional meet. Junior Rachel Scott, a member of the team, had this to say: “Before this assembly took place, I didn’t even know there was such a big organization like this one spreading the word to remember the unborn. As a runner myself, this talk was very inspiring and really showed me there is more to running than getting a personal record. It’s about offering up your pain for someone who really needs it. Because your sacrifice can prevent a mother from saying yes to abortion.”

Thank you, Dr. Pat Castle for your work and for sharing your ministry with the Everest students.
