Twenty-five Everest parents, priests, and consecrated women traveled to the Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit for the annual Everest Parent Pilgrimage. The day began with a private Mass in the beautiful main chapel, and then the group was greeted by EC Class of 2014 alum, Jeremy Schupbach. Jeremy is currently a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Detroit, and he guided the tour and answered many questions about the daily life of a seminarian. “I’ve always thought about being a priest,” he said. Jeremy’s mom would bring him to daily Mass at Everest before he was a student and during his years at Everest, which sparked an interest in the priestly vocation.

After the lively Q & A, the attendees gathered for a delicious catered lunch. Many parents commented that they had never been to the seminary and how nice it was to take a day pilgrimage to pray and also enjoy each other’s company.
