Everest congratulates the following students, athletes, coaches, and teams for their achievements during the 2018 fall season. Catholic High School League activities wrapped up last weekend at the annual Prep Bowl at Ford Field. Good luck to our volleyball, soccer, and cross country teams as they continue on in the MHSAA tournaments.

Soccer

  • All League: Lucas Cross, Alexander Earnhardt
  • All Catholic: Fernando Caccia, Jack Cross, Shane Dolan
  • All Academic: Shane Dolan

Volleyball

  • All League: Sydney Cooper, Daniella Mirjah
  • All Catholic: Serra Lowney, Grace Lowney, Kendall Beauchamp
  • All Academic: Katelyn Allen
  • The team won CHSL West Division.
  • Head coach Gina Mirjah was recognized at CHSL Coach of the Year.

Cross Country

  • All League: Avery Herrgott
  • All Catholic: Theresa Waller
  • All Academic: Kirsty Liu
  • For the second time in the three years since the team’s inception, EC cross country was nominated by the coaches in their division for the Mark Carpenter Sportsmanship Award.

 

Football

  • All League: Jimmy Neme, Max Engle, Trevor Myers, Mike Jones, Jack Lasceski
  • All Catholic: Joshua Legg, Nino Mastromatteo, Giovanni Mastromatteo, John Suran
  • All Academic: Rodrigo De Nigris
  • The team won the CHSL C-D Championship.

Scholastic All Catholic Award

This award is presented to the top students in the sophomore, junior, and senior classes. In the case of Everest Collegiate students, this any student with a GPA of 4.0 or higher. Award recipients were honored at Ford Field at the CHSL Prep Bowl. Each recipient was presented with a Scholastic All-Catholic medal from Fr. Stephen Pullis, Director of Evangelization, Catechesis, and Schools, along with Interim Superintendent of Catholic Schools, Kevin Kijewski.

  • Juniors: Mary Beth Williams, Madeleine Arbogast, Kate Funke, Elizabeth Westlake, Lila Thewes, Gabrielle Lazzarra, Colleen Walker
  • Sophomores: Theresa Waller, Danielle Brown
