Upperclassmen Lead Sophomore Retreat

The EC sophomore girls recently enjoyed some off-campus time together for their annual class retreat, held at Queen of the Family Retreat Center. The first night featured a movie, Eucharistic adoration, and a movie discussion game complete with many laughs. The next day brought the opportunity for Mass, a service project with retired Dominican sisters, and activities which facilitated quiet time, reflection, and group sharing.

Two senior girls demonstrated their leadership by helping at the retreat, and the sophomores really enjoyed having them there. Senior Grace Lowney shared her experience: “I liked helping with the sophomore girl’s retreat because it allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and give myself to God while being able to grow closer with my high school peers. I also liked comparing my experiences as a sophomore to now, starting my senior year. I loved showing the girls that God really does walk with you through life.”
