School safety and security is a top priority for all educators and parents alike. Everest Collegiate High School & Academy faculty and staff took part in training with former ATF agent and Everest parent, George Krappmann, this week as a part of Everest’s ongoing plan to review and continue to improve school safety. The presentations this week focused on security and active assailant protocols. Faculty and staff had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss hypothetical sce narios. This presentation was a part of an ongoing project begun by Everest’s administrators in teamwork with local authorities and public safety experts over the summer. In the coming weeks and months, more information will be provided to parents regarding this project.
