Everest Students Make a Difference

This summer Everest students volunteered to help run a day camp for children in Detroit with the Missionaries of Charity. The sisters run the camp throughout the summer for children over 100 children ages 4-12. The students planned games and activities for the children and helped served them lunch. The Everest students were impressed with the children’s joy, enthusiasm, and kindness.

The sisters thanked the Everest students for volunteering for the day. “Thank you for all the love and affection you all have shared with our children; they will always remember your acts of love and kindness.” The Everest students prayed a rosary on their return trip from the city for the children and their families.

“In loving and serving, we prove that we have been created in the likeness of God, for God is love and when we love we are like God.” – St. Teresa of Calcutta
