Everest girls got an overview of upcoming weekend opportunities at a special convocation today, January 8.

Kate Prain, a graduate of St. Thomas More Academy and missionary at Students for Life of Michigan, invited the girls to her upcoming retreat, “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made”, on Saturday, January 13 at 3:00 pm., concluding on Sunday at noon. Retreat topics will include: casting out fear, the beauty of Catholicism, social media, pro-life, and sacred singleness. Everest chaplain Father Thomas Salazar will be retreat chaplain, offering confession, all-night Eucharistic adoration, and Sunday Mass.  More information is below:

Students were also made aware of another great event this Saturday, “She is Made for More”, sponsored by Good Girl Comeback and Choices Detroit.  Registrations for this event close on tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9, at 5:00 P.M.  More details are below:

And finally this Saturday, high school students are invited to participate in the Detroit Martin Luther King Jr. mission sponsored by Mission Youth. Participants will paint a school in downtown Detroit.  For more information, go to
