The Everest 4th Grade class built a shrine on the EA campus to honor St. Joseph. Fr. Daniel Pajerski LC blessed the shrine in a special ceremony. The Shrine is located along the path right behind the concession stand at the main sports field, about 100 feet into the woods. Below is a description of the purpose of the shrine project, according to EA 4th grade teacher Jordan Mitchell:
“The boys’ fourth grade class has a tradition of selecting a patron saint for the year. As part of having that patron saint, they are required to complete an apostolic activity in that saint’s name. This year the patron selected was St. Joseph. The boys wanted to build a shrine in the woods to honor him. Students led the planning meetings and selected a design. Work began in mid-April, finishing just before school got out. The hard work and perseverance of the students is a testament to their faith. Now the whole Everest community can enjoy this shrine for many years to come!”
Great job EA fourth grade boys!
