Everest Collegiate students Kathryn Steel and Madeline and Jeffrey Thewes should be proud of their efforts to help children in need. Jeffrey and Madeline will soon be joining their father, Dr. Jeffrey Thewes, on their second medical mission trip to Guatemala. They will be armed with toys, collected by Kathryn, to give to the children seen during the mission. To obtain the toys, Kathryn used some of her own money, raised funds and solicited donations from companies like McDonalds and Wendy’s in Clarkston, Michigan. Both businesses made generous donations of toys usually included in their kids’ meals. Great job!
