When the Pope visits Philadelphia this weekend he will get a special greeting from a familiar family to those of us at Everest. The Lopez family recently moved to Cranberry, Pennsylvania. Their son Alex did a project at his new school at Saint Kilian parish about his hero, Pope Francis, and consequently, the family was chosen for a special honor during the upcoming pontiff’s visit. They will represent the Hispanic families in the U.S. by presenting the Pope with the Cross of Gatherings on Saturday, September 26. You can watch an interview (in Spanish) with the family on Telemundo News at the following link.
