Rome, Italy – Fr. Benjamin O’Loughlin was among 35 young men ordained December 13, 2014, to priesthood in the Legionaries of Christ.

Fr. Benjamin will begin his priestly service as the Director of the Boys’ Boarding Program at Everest Academy in Clarkston, Michigan. He will celebrate his first Mass at Everest on the feast of the Epiphany, January 6, 2015.

Cardinal Velasio De Paolis ordained the priests in a mass at the Basilica of St. John Lateran. In his homily, the Cardinal said: “Priestly ordinations are always a reason for trust in the future, a reason for hope.” (More of Cardinal De Paolis’ homily is available here.)

The new priests come from 11 countries. Nine men, including Fr. Benjamin, were ordained from the United States.  They are listed below, including their hometowns.
