Shrine Catholic Hires New Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse Coach
Shrine Catholic High School in Royal Oak recently announced the hiring of Dave Misiewicz as the head boys’ varsity lacrosse coach.
The lacrosse season starts March 10, 2014. Shrine is the host school of a cooperative varsity-level team in association with Everest Collegiate and Our Lady of the Lakes in Waterford. The team competes in the Catholic High School League, as part of the Michigan High School Athletic Association.
Coach Misiewicz comes to Shrine after coaching at Novi Catholic Central. He is a Catholic Central graduate from the class of 1991, and continued his education, earning a degree from Eastern Michigan University. Coach Misiewicz most recently served as the Freshman coach at CC (2007, 2010‐13), and has also coached 7th‐8th Grade at Westlake, CA and STARZ summer program in 2008.
Dave has traveled the world entertaining our troops with Comics on Duty as well as acting in commercials and voiceovers with Productions Plus the Talent Shop. Currently working for Omnicom Media Group in their Finance Shared Services department, he is continuing his education through UCLA Extensions Design Communication Arts program. This lacrosse player, rugby player, marathoner, co‐worker, classmate and coach understands the value of hard work is in the doing ‐ allowing God to take care of the outcome.
“I am blessed to help develop a varsity lacrosse program with the Shrine community,” said Coach Misiewicz.
