On Monday December 10th, Mrs. Hearn’s Michigan history class completed their final projects by serving as docents to 44 second graders. The visiting school was Southfield Christian. The students were placed into pairs or trios and were responsible for creating their own lesson plan relative to their village location: Ben Idzik, Megan Luttinen and Josh Essensa were in the log cabin. Daman Nallamothu and Angie Mastromatteo were in the Simon Caswell house. Katharina Schatz, Michelle Diaz, and Sarina Nallamothu were in the school. Blake Burgess and Aaron Murawa were in the general store.

The day was a complete success and both our students as well as those from Southfield Christian learned a lot! Special thank you to the Troy Historic Village staff for all their help and cooperation in this project.
