Congratulations to Coach Jeff Stencel, Asst Coach Natalie Lasceski, and the 2012 Everest Collegiate Volleyball team for winning the very first Summit Academy-North High School Dragon Invitational Tournament on 9/8/2012. In winning the tournament, Everest Collegiate won six consecutive matches and never lost a set, beating:

UPrep: Math & Science 25-4 and 25-4

Consortium Prep          25-4 and 25-6

Flint International         25-12 and 25-12

Star International         25-9 and 25-8

Summit Academy         25-7 and 25-14

Arbor Prep                   25-20 and 25-22

Every girl on the team contributed: 

Claire Kitz (sophomore co-captain) had 49 kills with 53% efficiency rating, 44 aces with a 63% ace percentage, 15 digs, 7 blocks, and 27 service receptions.

Megan Luttinen (junior co-captain) had 25 digs and 23 aces with a 50% ace percentage, and 27 service receptions.

Shannon McDunnough (sophomore) had 33 assists, 25 aces with a 45% ace percentage, and 11 kills with a 36% efficiency rating.

Claire Lasceski (sophomore) had 28 assists, 12 kills, and 10 aces.

Sarina Nallamothu (senior) had 20 aces with a 40% ace percentage and 3 blocks.

Monica Toohey (sophomore) had 7 kills with a 36% efficiency rating and 8 blocks.

Lucy Cousens (sophomore) had a 29% ace percentage and 15 service receptions.

Carly Sutkiewicz (freshman) had a 25% kill efficiency rating and a 22% service ace percentage.

Everest Collegiate is now 8-4 overall, with all 4 losses coming from Class A and B schools.
