Here is the write up about the game from

Madison Heights Bishop Foley vs. Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes/Clarkston Everest Collegiate, 6 p.m. Wednesday at Pontiac Notre Dame Prep: This is probably as good as it could get in Metro Detroit for Division 4. The fact that these two teams are meeting up now is nothing short of a treat for soccer fans. These two teams met in 2010 in the semifinals with Lakes winning and eventually taking the state title. This game could very well determine this year’s state champion.

Getting no love in the state rankings heading into the postseason because of its sub .500 record, Bishop Foley has shown it is fully capable of defending its state championship that it won last year. Sporting a 10-9-1 record heading into Wednesday night, Foley isn’t new to the final four scene as it is playing in its fourth-straight semifinal. Rachel Fischer is one of the state’s best goalkeepers in D4 while senior Ali Mancini anchors a strong defense.

Lakes/Everest is the reigning Catholic League C-D champion and comes in ranked No. 6 in the state under the guidance of first-year head coach Katie Hearn. To add fuel to the competitive fire, Lakes/Everest is coming off of a close win over playoff rival Saginaw Nouvel. Anna Robb, Ava Doesch and Jessica Parry have put together great seasons and should be more than ready to try and take back the title of state champion.
