Kindergarten goes to Gleaners Food Bank
On Wednesday, March 14th, both kindergarten classes went to Gleaners Food Bank. Each child brought food to donate to the food bank. We started the day off listening to Miss Sarah (an employee from Gleaners) explain who they help and where they get the food. The children then got on the large scale where they measure the food. The boys weighed more than the girls! We then got a tour of the building and giant freezer. The children then packed bags for the “backpack program.” The “backpack program” provides food for various elementary students to take home on Fridays. Our children surpassed the goal and packed 301 bags!
