New Scholarship Recognizes Forensics Excellence

Everest Collegiate held its annual Forensics Finals March 1. The top 9 finalists from the high school presented in three categories: prose, poetry, and oratory. The following students earned Gold Medals:

Prose – Grace Miller, sophomore

Poetry – Ginny Taylor, sophomore

Oratory – Grant Burgess, senior

A new addition to the Everest Collegiate forensics program this year is the St. John Chrysostom Scholarship. Each gold medalist received a scholarship award of $100! Congratulations to all of our incredible high school presenters, with a special commendation to the inaugural scholarship award recipients.

Funding for the St. John Chrysostom Scholarship was provided by the newly organized St. John Chrysostom Society, whose mission is to support student leadership through public speaking both in and out of school. Everest Collegiate would like to thank the generous benefactors in the society for supporting these student leaders in honing this important skill.
