2018 Mardi Gras is Largest Ever
This year’s annual Mardi Gras event, presented by the Everest Parent Program, was the largest to date. Eighteen tables of eight or more gathered to share fellowship, food, and Lenten inspiration. Fr. John Bartunek, LC addressed the ladies with a talk entitled: “Three Ways God Speaks to Us.” He highlighted listening to God’s voice through people, providence, and silence. Fr. Thomas Salazar, LC and Fr. Jason Brooks, LC were available to hear confessions. Each attendee received a copy of Fr. John’s newest book, A Quiet Place, compliments of Everest Parent Program. Additional copies of the book were available for sale, and Father autographed some later in the evening. Special thanks to Mary Ellen Cross, all the parent volunteers, the priests and consecrated women, and all table hosts for making this event an incredible night of fellowship and reflection to begin the Lenten journey.
