Living Rosary

On a crisp fall morning October 17, kindergarteners through fifth graders at Everest Academy gathered around the Blessed Virgin Mary statue to pray the rosary together. Before beginning, Everest Chaplain Father Thomas Salazar blessed the students’ rosaries, many of which had been made the week prior during religion class with Mrs. Theresa Radich. Students in third through fifth grade were chosen to help lead the prayers, with the rest of the students responding. The group ended their prayers singing Immaculate Mary.

October is the month of the rosary, and October 13 marked the 100th anniversary of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s apparitions in Fatima, where our Blessed Mother urged all her children to pray the rosary for peace.

We hope our students will grow in their appreciation for this powerful prayer and families will make it part of their family prayer time.
