Everest Faculty and Staff Retreat on Theology of the Body

Everest faculty and staff participated in their annual retreat on Friday, April 28, at Queen of the Family Retreat Center in Oxford.  The retreat was led by Dr. Joan Kingsland, a consecrated woman of Regnum Christi and expert in moral theology and Theology of the Body.  The retreat also included Mass, Eucharistic adoration, the opportunity for confession, lunch, and small group time.  Everest staff members enjoyed being together and spending time with the Lord in an environment of prayer and enrichment.

Theology of the Body is the teaching of St. John Paul II on what it means to be a human person made in the image and likeness of God. At its core it is anthropology, answering questions like: “Who is man?”, “Why was man created?”, and “How can I be happy?”.  The teaching offers a way of seeing the world that can lay Christian foundations for many areas of life including morality and sexuality.

Everest looks forward to going deeper into these profound teachings and continuing to transmit the truth of the human person and God’s plan of love and fullness of life with our students and families.
