Battle of the Books

Lia DiFonzo, Everest Academy Middle School Literature and Grammar teacher, reported that the 6th grade girls and boys, and 7th grade girls competed in a “Battle of the Books” last month.

“It sure was a tough competition and the students look forward to doing it again for the next reading month in March!” she said.

Together, the students read 71,069 pages!  The 6th grade girls won Slurpee drinks and a movie for reading the most pages — 26,027, or 1,627 pages per student!

Congratulations!
