Lego League Members Recognize their Mentor

Alex Czarnecki

The Electric Pineapples, Everest Academy’s First Lego League team (FLL), had a very strong showing at their recent practice competition, placing second in the robot performance.  The event took place on October 25 at Carmen-Ainsworth Middle School in Flint.

Team mentor Alex Czarnecki, a freshman at Everest Collegiate High School, also took home the Young Adult Mentor Award for the team.

“He received several nominations from our team members that were all well written and spoke highly of how much the team appreciates his assistance,” said head coach Laura Arbogast, who helps with the team. “He received a very nice engraved glass trophy for all his hard work so far this season. We are very proud of Alex and he has been a great asset for our team this year.”

Principal Greg Reichert said, “I think this tells a good story of the success of the younger students, as well as a positive story about their high school mentor who helped them along, and how the younger students recognized his assistance.”
