Eventful Beginning to Month of May

Everest Academy and Everest Collegiate High School had some memorable events to begin the month of May 2014.  On May 1, students from the entire school took time to honor our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament with a Eucharistic procession around the campus.

Traditionally a month to honor our Blessed Mother Mary, May is celebrated at Everest with a crowning of Mary after the first Friday Mass.  Also that day, in a special transition ceremony, the junior class pledges its leadership, after the role is symbolically passed on to them from the soon-to-be graduating seniors.

Mikayla, Kateri and Katie Thibodeau pose together after First Friday Mass. Mikayla was one of the first graduating seniors from Everest Collegiate in 2012. Kateri is in seventh grade and Katie is among the first communicants who presented the statue of Our Lady with flowers after Mass.

Sophomore Rebecca Luttinen crowns the Marian statue, while classmate Bradley Mansour keeps the ladder steady.

Seniors Ryan Bradley and Lucia Westrick lead the juniors in the leadership pledge during the transition ceremony.
