EC Girls as Detroit Historical Museum Docents

Mrs. Hearn’s Michigan History Class is participating in a pilot program that both Mrs. Hearn and the educational coordinator at the Detroit Historical Museum put together!!

Last week, the girls went for a tour of the museum. Next, they will meet with the coordinator again and she will explain how to be an effective docent and train them to give a tour of the museum. Then, as a final project, the girls are going to lead their own tour of the museum for a group of elementary school students who are coming to the museum for a tour.

What a great way for our Everest Collegiate students to learn about Michigan History. Thank you for making learning so interesting, Mrs. Hearn!
