Creating art…with Marshmallows!
During Catholic Schools’ Week, one of our events in grades JK-2 is the Marshmallow Sculpting Competition. The students create wonderful sculptures using marshmallows, toothpicks, candies, and icing. This year our students created animals, snowmen, boats, homes, cars, buildings (even the Eiffel Tower), and some abstract art. It is interesting to see how these youngsters can create 3-dimesional creations! The competition was tough…but the winners are:
1st place: Mary Andrews 2nd grade (sculpted her Husky dog, even with a curly tail)
2nd place: Jake Jackson 1B (sculpted a very sleek boat)
